SecurePath Technologies is a custom software company based in Nairobi, Kenya. We build web applications, Android and iOS mobile apps and desktop software, along with the secure systems behind them — digital on-screen exam marking, school management and CBE assessment, identity and credential verification, asset tracking, and business finance. We also supply the physical side of exam security: tamper-evident bags, labels and anti-forgery certificates.

Yes — a large part of our portfolio is education technology. EvalPro digitises exam marking for examination boards, universities and colleges. Alama runs school management and Kenyan CBE assessment for basic-education schools, offline, on the phones teachers already own. Smart ID gives institutions secure student identity and access control, and SmartCert issues certificates that anyone can verify offline in seconds. If your institution needs something that is not on that list, we build it to order. Our clients include the Kenya National Examinations Council.
Both, and the custom work came first. Every product in our portfolio started as one organisation's requirement. If what you need is not on our shelf, we study how your operation actually works and build a platform around it — web, mobile or desktop — then deploy, integrate and support it.
E-marking, also called digital on-screen marking, replaces the physical movement of answer scripts with the movement of their images. Scripts are scanned once and encrypted; examiners then mark on screen from wherever they are, with candidate identities masked behind booklet codes. EvalPro runs the whole chain — script intake, anonymous allocation, marking, moderation, QA sampling and signed results — and journals every mark so any result can be reconstructed and defended. In pilot deployments it has cut grading turnaround by more than 40%.
They protect question papers, answer scripts, certificates and other confidential materials in transit and storage. Each bag or label carries a unique serial with a barcode and QR code, so a consignment can be scanned at every hand-off and reconciled against its manifest. If anyone opens, cuts, heats or peels the seal, an irreversible VOID pattern appears — so a compromised packet is obvious before it is even accepted. Sizes, colours, board branding, tear-off receipts and numbering ranges are all made to order.
A secure certificate carries its own proof. The awarding data — holder, award, date and institution — is cryptographically signed and encoded into a 2D barcode printed on the document, together with the holder's photograph. The SmartCert app reads that barcode and checks the signature locally, so a credential can be verified in seconds with no internet connection at all. Change a name, a grade or a date and the signature stops matching; reprint the document and the photo no longer matches the person presenting it.
Yes, and several are designed for exactly that. Alama runs a full school day offline on an on-device database and posts the work when a signal returns, keeping the time it was actually done. SmartCert verifies credentials with no connectivity at all. Offline-first, low-bandwidth and SMS-fallback design is a default here, not an upgrade.
